My flight from Melbourne to Munich

1 1/2 weeks ago, I had to say goodbye to my Australian family. We set off from Porepunkah in the early afternoon and arrived in Melbourne after a 4 whitewash drive. About half an hour we were still in a shopping centre and enjoyed the last time together. Unfortunately Matilda couldn't go to the airport because she had to work, which is why I said goodbye to her early on.  After our short stay at the shop we drove to the airport to have some more food.

When we finished, we also took my bags away, that's where we met Emi and her family. Emily and I then said goodbye to our host families and went off together to the departure zone where we waited until our flight was called. When this happened, we went to board together.

Half an hour later we were already on the plane waiting for the plane to take off, it was a very long 14 1/2 hour flight. I talked to Emi and our seat neighbour a lot, she came from England and flew to New Zealand for a wedding of her friend for two weeks. Her flight was 32 hours long as she was still forced to fly from New Zealand to Melbourne and from Doha to England. We talked most of the time, 5 hours later I started to go around a bit and stretch a bit. I didn't think flying would be so exhausting in the long run.

When we were in the approach to the landing on Doha, I sat down again and prepared to leave in front of the plane. We all landed well and found easily from one side of the airport to the other. The four hours had passed really very quickly and we were already sitting in the plane towards Munich after breakfast. The second flight was much more pleasant than the first one and after a few hours we had already landed back in Munich.

After a quick check from customs, we picked up our bags and went to our already waiting families. I was received really nicely by My parents, my friend and good friends of my parents. My parents went straight home with me and my boyfriend, while driving I told everyone else about the flight and answered your questions about Australia and what I experienced there. Once at home, a cake was waiting for me. We all sat back together at a table, I told you a lot more stories and we laughed a lot. But since I was still quite broken from the flight, I showered myself and put myself in my bed and rested a bit.

At night I always woke up at about 4am just out of Australian habit as it was already 12pm in Australia. In the meantime, I have become accustomed to German times again. It's very nice to be home again even if I miss my friends, my family and just in themselves the country.

I hope I can go back to Australia, with friends or alone in a few years. I desperately want to see my friends again and other parts of the country.

It was a really memorable and just gorgeous time and I can only recommend it to everyone. It's such a beautiful experience, just unique in this way.

Unfortunately, my host parents had to work a lot and didn't take that much time for me, we couldn't really do much together and I couldn't see that much of the country because of that. Marina is a wonderful person and I get on well with her, but would have hoped for a bit more interest.

Noah: “Hervorragende! Es könnte nicht besser gehen.

Jack Housten: “Das freut mich zu hören. Kommen wir gleich zum wesentlichen. Wo begann denn das Abenteuer, mit deiner Familie.”

Naoh: “In Bright, wie so vieles; dem Ort an dem ich die letzten drei Monate, mit meiner wunderbaren Gastfamilie, verbrachte.”

Jack Housten: “Und wann war das?”

Noah: “Es war eine Woche nach dem Schulende am P-12 College in Bright. Allein das war ein erlebnis.”

Jack Housten: “Wieso war das ein Erlebnis?”

Noah: “Na ja, an diesem Tag waren auch die Schul Verleihungen, - für Personen die sich sehr Engagiert haben. Wir drei Austauschschüler mussten auch eine kleine Rede vorbereiten.”

Jack Housten: “Was musstet ihr sagen.”

Noah: “Nicht viel, nur ein bißchen darüber was wir die letzten Monate gemacht haben und was wir neues gelernt haben.”

Jack Housten: “Warst du aufgeregt, als du vorne standes.”

Noah: “Ein bisschen, aber schließlich haben wir das am Anfang des Terms (das sind drei Monate), auch schon machen müssen, also hat es gut funktioniert.”

Jack Housten: “Aber nun zum eigentlichen Part.”

Noah: “Haben Sie es eilig?”

Jack Housten: “Jack alleine reicht. Ja ehrlich gesagt habe ich es eilig, heute Kommt noch Footy.”

Noah: “Der Nationalsport der Aussies. Das kann ich natürlich verstehen.”

Jack: “Da bin ich aber froh.”

Noah: “Das eigentliche Event war, der Cross Country run.”

Jack: “Wie können sich denn unsere Zuschauer vorstellen.”

Noah: “Das ist ein lauf, der einer bestimmten Route folgt und mehr oder weniger durch den Wald führt.”

Jack: “Wie lang war die Distanz?”

Noah: “Über drei Kilometer, die ich sogar Wochen vorher trainiert habe.”

Jack: “Was sagt man dazu.”

Jack: “War es nach diesem Lauf vorbei?”

Noah: “Nein noch nicht ganz, danach kam der Color run.”

Jack: “Color run? Was ist das?”

Noah: “Das war ein Lauf, in dem man im Kreis gelaufen ist und von den verschiedenen Haus Captains mit Farbbeutel abgeschmissen wurde. Du kannst dir vorstellen wie ich danach aussah.”

Jack: “Ja das kann ich mir vorstellen. Zurück zu dem Zeitpunkt als deine Eltern ankammen.”

Noah: “Das war ein Magischer moment und ich war froh als ich sie wieder sah.”

Jack: “Das glaube ich dir. Wie viel Tage seit ihr noch in Bright geblieben?”

Noah: “Drei Nächte und somit vier Tage, was immer noch zu wenig war.”

Jack: “Wie haben sich eure Familien verstanden?”

Noah: “Sehr gut. Es war so als wären wir schon seit Jahren befreundet gewesen. Meine Eltern haben gesagt es war gut und sehr schön die Paulsens persönlich zu treffen.”

Jack: “Was habt ihr in Bright gemacht?”

Noah: “Wir waren auf einer Emufarm, haben Emus, Schafe, Ziegen, Straußen, Rehe und Lamas gesehen und auch gefüttert. Da gab es einen Lustigen Moment.”

Jack: “Darf dieser Moment an die Öffentlichkeit?”

Noah: “Ich nehme mir mal die freiheit und sage ja.”

Jack: “Sehr schön, da bin ich ja mal gespannt.”

Noah: “Also gut. Meine Familie und ich standen gerade vor dem Lama Gehege und fütterten die Lamas, da verschluckte sich eins der Lamas, - so schien es zumindest. Wir lachten, denn es hatte die ganze Zeit die anderen Lamas verscheucht, um selbst am meisten Futter zu bekommen. Wir standen also am Zaun und lachten, da Spuckte das Lama einen Riesen schwall Spucke auf uns. Wir nahmen es mit. Das Lama sah danach wirklich so aus, als würde es Lachen.

Jack: “Lecker, Lecker, Lecker.”

Noah: “Außerdem waren wir auf dem Mount-Buffalo, - ein Berg nahe Bright.

Jack: “Hört sich sehr Interessant an. Fans zufolge sollst du im Mount-Buffalo See gebadet haben, als er ziemlich kalt war.”

Noah: “Ja das stimmt. Es war wirklich sehr kalt aber kein Problem für einen echten Mann.”

Jack: “Verstehe. Wo ging es hin als ihr Bright verlassen habt?”

Noah: “Nach Bright ging es, über die Berge, nach Lakes Entrance, was an der Küste liegt. Dort waren wir in einem Hotel untergebracht, in dem wir eine Nacht blieben. Von dort ging es dann immer weiter die Küste nach oben.”

Jack: “Hört sich wunderschön an.”

Noah: “Das war es auch. Eine wunderschöne Landschaft und endlose weiten.”

Jack: “Wie lang seid ihr im durschnitt gefahren?”

Noah: “Drei bis vier Stunden aber das ist ja in Australien keine entfernung.”

Jack: “Das stimmt. Wie ging euer Trip weiter?”

Noah: “Nach mehreren sehr schönen kleineren Orten, sind wir über vier Stunden nach Canberra gefahren.”

Jack: “Canberra. Die Hauptstadt Australiens. Klingt sehr spannend. Wie hatte sie dir und deiner Familie gefallen?”

Noah: “Wirklich sehr gut. Einige Leute haben gesagt sie sei nicht sehenswert aber uns hat sie sehr gut gefallen. Das ist eben geschmacksache.”

Jack: “Du sagst es. Unsere Zuschauer interessiert es jetzt natürlich, was ihr alles besichtigt habt?”

Noah: “So ziemlich alles was man in drei Tagen machen konnte. Wir waren im neuen Parlament, im alten Parlamenten Haus, in der Bücherei (bei einer Ausstellung), im Canberra Museum und im War Memorial.”

Jack: “Da wart ihr ja wirklich überall wo es sehenswert ist. Wart ihr bei der Täglichen gedenkfeier für die gefallenen Soldaten.”

Noah: “Ja wir waren genau zur richtigen Zeit da. Die gedenkfeier war sehr eindrucksvoll, so wie das Gebäude selbst. Was mich beeindruckte war, dass die gedenkfeier jeden Tag abgehalten wird.”

Jack: “Ja das möchte man gar nicht meinen.”

Noah: “Was auch sehr sehenswert war war das Kriegsmuseum, was dort die Hauptattraktion war. Außerdem waren wir auf einem Look out, auf dem man die ganze Stadt sehen konnte.”

Jack: “Beeindruckend, nicht wahr?”

Noah: “Allerdings. Man konnte gut erkennen das die Stadt ziemlich Symmetrisch angelegt wurde. Man möchte gar nicht meinen das man so etwas großes einfach aus dem Boden stampfen kann.”

Jack: “Wie hat dir das neue und das alte Parlaments Haus gefallen?”

Noah: “Sehr gut. Ein riesiges Gebäude. Sehr Modern gestaltet und für ein Regierungssitz, für ein so großartiges Land, genau passend. Alleine der Flaggenmast, an dem die Australische Flagge hängt, ist sehenswert. Der über 80 Meter hohe Mast überragt das Gebäude und die ganze Stadt.”

Jack: “Hört sich anstrengend an, das ganze Parlament anzuschauen.”

Noah: “Na ja, nicht das ganze Parlament aber man konnte sich frei bewegen und somit sehr viel davon sehen. Viel ausruhen konnten wir uns nicht, da das Parlament für Besucher um 5 Uhr geschlossen hat.”

Jack: “Pause ist ein gutes Stichwort. Meine Damen und Herren, Australier und Nicht Australie; wir machen eine kurze Pause und sind gleich wieder zurück, wenn es wieder heißt: Die schrillen Vier auf Achse.

Jack: “Willkommen zurück und es geht gleich weiter. Also Noah, im Live Chat wollen alle möglichen Menschen wissen und ich zitiere: Was war eure Lustigste unterkunft.”

Noah: “Berechtigte Frage. Wir hatten eigentlich immer sehr gute und nette Unterkünfte, die meine Mutter hervorragend ausgesucht hatte, doch in einem Ort namens “Merimbula” gab es dann schon ein kleine Überraschung. Wir hatten nur ein Familien Zimmer.”

Jack: “Da kommt sich die Familie gleich ein bisschen näher.”

Noah: “Im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Am Waschbecken, in dem kleinen Motel (so wie man ein Motel aus Filmen kennt), hätte Tom Cruise seine freude gehabt.”

Jack: “Wieso das denn?”

Noah: “Das Waschbecken hatte zwei Wasserhähne, einen eiskalt, den ander heiß. Total blödsinnig wenn du mich frägst. Mein Vater hatte es “Mischen Impossible” genannt.”

Geschehen: Lachen aus dem Publikum

Jack: “Ja, der ist wirklich nicht schlecht. Wie ging eure tour dann weiter?”

Noah: “Als wir Canberra schon wieder verließen, ging es richtung Kiama - einem kleinen Ort nahe Sydney.”

Jack: “Wie lange wart ihr in Kiama?”

Naoh: “Leider nur ein Nacht, wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben, denn das Örtchen war sehr schön. Genauso wie unsere Unterkunft. Du wirst es nicht glauben aber die vermieterin war eine Österreicherin und konnte somit Deutsch sprechen.

Jack: “Da kommt man nach Australien und trifft Deutsche.”

Noah: “Ja und das war nicht die einzigste Deutsche. In Canberra haben wir auch ein Österreicher getroffen; der mit seiner Frau in Australien wohnt.”

Jack: “Schon verrückt wenn man alles trifft. War Kiama nicht der Ort in dem die Blowholes sind?”

Noah: “Richtig.”

Jack: “Habt ihr eins in Aktion gesehen?”

Noah: “Man möchte es nicht glauben aber gerade als wir davor standen Spritzte aus dem Loch Wasser.”

Jack: “Perfektes timing. Wann seit ihr dann nach Sydney gefahren?”

Noah: “Gleich am nächsten Tag sind wir losgefahren. Und nach fast zwei Stunden waren wir in den ersten vororten von Sydney.”

Jack: “Das muss aber nichts heißen, schließlich hat Sydney über 650 vororten.”

Noah: “Das Stimmt, wir sind eine ganze weile durch vororte gefahren aber schließlich haben wir es geschafft. Wir waren in Sydney.”

Jack: “Wann habt ihr die beiden wahrzeichen von Sydney gesehen (die Harbour Bridge und das Opernhaus)?”

Noah: “Schon gleich nachdem wir angekommen sind haben wir ein Fähre genommen und haben beide wahrzeichen perfekt sehen können. Im laufe unseres aufenthalts waren wir auch noch auf der Harbour Bridge und vor dem Opernhaus; was beides noch eindrucksvoller war wie schon auf Fotos.”

Jack: “Das kann ich mir gut vorstellen. War für dich schöner Melbourne oder Sydney?”

Noah: “Puuh, das ist schwer. Die Städte sind einfach anders und auch wenn Melbourne keine direktes wahrzeichen hat, hat es trotzdem seinen reiz - auch bestimmt ohne Formel 1 Wochenende.”

Jack: “Interessant das zu hören. Wir sind fast am ende unserer Show angekommen und wollen noch unbedingt hören, was dir am besten auf dem P-12 College in Bright, während deiner Zeit, gefallen hat.”

Noah: “Erstens meine Klasse in Bright war super und hat mich sofort so aufgenommen, als wäre ich schon immer dabei gewesen. Zweitens der zusammenhalt der Klasse und der Schule. Drittens, das Schulsystem an sich war sehr gut. Dadurch haben die Schüler viele möglichkeiten und können viele Sachen ausprobieren. Außerdem haben sie noch viele andere möglichkeiten wie nach Japan zu gehen oder auch zu einer anderen Schule in Australien zu gehen und noch vieles mehr. Ich würde mir wünschen, das es auch so etwas an der Wirtschaftsschule gibt und somit sich die Schüler selbst finden können und erfahrungen sammeln können, fürs spätere Leben.”

Jack: “Wäre auf jeden fall sinnvoll. Was war dein Lieblingsfach?”

Noah: “Mein Lieblingsfach war eindeutig Product Design und Sport.”

Jack: “Product Design? Was macht man da?”

Noah: “Man lernt etwas über die herstellung von Produkten und stellt selbst etwas her.”

Jack: “Was habt ihr hergestellt?”

Noah: “Wir mussten ein funktionstüchtiges Laufrad herstellen.”

Jack: “Ist es dir gelungen.”

Noah: “Ja, ziemlich gut, nur ist es noch in Australien und bekommt noch den letzten feinschliff von Mister Jackson, - einem sehr guten Lehrer.”

Jack: “Dann hoffen wir mal, das es den Weg nach Deutschland findet.”

Noah: “Das hoffe ich auch sehr.”

Jack: “Wieso war Sport dein zweites Lieblingsfach?”

Noah: “Das hat mehrere Gründe. Zum einen haben Jungs und Mädchen zusammen Sport, was es nicht nur gleich viel Interessanter macht, sondern dass man lernt mit Mädchen zusammen zuarbeiten, was im Berufsleben wichtig ist. Zum anderen haben immer zwei Klassen gemeinsam Sport. Mit lustigen aber anstrengenden Gemeinschaftsspielen kommt dann ein echter aber fehrer ehrgeiz auf und jeder bringt sich mit ein, um zu gewinnen. Das bringt die Klasse zusammen, man hat ein gemeinsamen erfolg, etwas geschafft oder gemacht zu haben. So etwas ist unverzichtbar, denn im Berufsleben wird man früher oder später im Team arbeiten müssen. Keinen Interessiert es später ob man am Bahren gut ist oder nicht. Aber das ist meine Meinung. Und auch wenn man mit der Klasse verliert, lernt man gleich zusamm die wichtigste sache im Leben: zu verlieren und doch weiterzumachen.”

Jack: “Wow, ware Wort und das von einem so Jungen Mann. Was wollen sie am Ende dieser Show unseren Zuschauern auf den Weg mitgeben.”

Noah: “Was ich in den vergangenen Monaten gelernt habe ist: Das Leben oder der Moment in dem man sich befindet ist nur so gut oder schlecht wie du ihn machst. (Moment als ich ohne Zugverbindung und Karte in Melbourne stand). Und Investiert euer Geld nicht in Wertsachen, - außer ihr habt so viel Geld das es kein unterschied macht -, sonder in Erinnerungen (Etwas unternehmen) und Investiert eure Zeit in Erinnerungen, denn Wertsachen könnt ihr nicht mitnehme, da hin wo wir alle gehen. Es ist wie im Film Australia: Am Ende bleiben einem nur die Erinnerungen.”

Jack: “Du bist aber kein Philosoph?”

Noah: “Wer weiß. Danke an all diejenigen, die mir diese Chance ermöglicht haben. Danke auch das ihr meine Blogs gelesen habt und mich begleitet habt. Danke an meine Familie und Gastfamilie: ihr seid die aller besten.”
